The School of Engineering, Manmohan Technical University (MTU), in collaboration with the Structural Engineers Association Nepal (SEANep), successfully organized a 3-day seminar on “Seismic Evaluation and Retrofitting of Unreinforced Masonry Buildings.”

The seminar brought together engineers from academia, government ministries, industry, municipalities, consultancy firms, and individual practitioners. The sessions provided highly informative and practical knowledge-sharing on seismic evaluation, demand-capacity concepts, and various retrofitting measures.

The School of Engineering extends its heartfelt gratitude to the key speaker, Dr. Jitendra Bothara, Director of Resipro International Engineer Limited, New Zealand, for his insightful contributions. We also thank Prof. Bhola Ghimire, Dean of Purbanchal University, Kaji Ram Karki, Campus Chief of IoE Purbanchal Campus, the President of Nepal Engineers Association, Koshi Pradesh, and all participants for making the seminar a resounding success.
