On 22 February 2026, Dr. Rekha Shrestha, Dean of the School of Engineering, Manmohan Technical University (MTU), actively participated in the Washington Accord Stakeholders’ Meeting – 1. The meeting brought together representatives from engineering accreditation bodies, universities, and industry stakeholders to discuss the advancement of engineering education in Nepal in line with international standards.

The Dean’s participation emphasized MTU’s commitment to Outcome-Based Education (OBE), quality engineering programs, and alignment with global accreditation frameworks. This engagement provides an opportunity for MTU to contribute to shaping policies, sharing best practices, and strengthening collaborations that enhance the recognition and quality of engineering education in Nepal.
